Project
Advanced Joinery has been a trusted name in Canterbury for nearly 40 years, crafting quality kitchens and custom joinery. With growing demand, the business needed a new facility to support its operations, and we were proud to deliver a purpose-built 1,400m² workshop and office space in Wigram, Christchurch. We worked closely with the client throughout the planning and concept stages to ensure the design and functionality of the building met their specific operational needs and vision.
The project commenced with earthworks in December 2024. Thanks to an efficient build program, completion was achieved by May 2025, allowing the customer to begin their own interior fit-out without delay. The building was designed to reflect the company’s reputation for quality and precision, with a mix of robust materials and refined finishes.
A steel structural frame supports precast concrete panels and 5-Rib Colorsteel wall cladding, while the Colorsteel roof is fitted with Topglass FR50 translucent panels to enhance natural light throughout the workshop. Vertical timber-finish precast panels at the office exterior create visual warmth and street appeal, standing out in the industrial surroundings. While the office interior features an exposed precast wall and an open structure ceiling, providing a raw and industrial feel. Ebony roof iron, profiled gutters, and soffits complete the modern, high-contrast exterior.
This new space provides Advanced Joinery with the functionality they need and a professional presence that reflects their craft. We are proud to have played a role in bringing it to life.
