Prospect NZ Ltd
Shed 5 and Office

Being the fifth project Thompson have completed for this client, and the third on this site, the ongoing relationship assisted the project to completion. The client required warehouse space for dry ingredient storage and mixing using specialist blending equipment, office space to accommodate their admin and plant management teams, and external space for loading/unloading trucks and devanning containers. Effective communication and understanding allowed Thompson inhouse design team to create a design with an architectural perspective that met client requirements, meaning no changes were needed from this initial design.

Precast panels measuring 1200mm high have been used around the base of the warehouse walls, combined with an internal nib to keep ingredients off the side of the building, protecting the building while remaining durable, while the roof spans fifty meters using an internal middle leg to support the trusses. The client conducted their own fit out for their specialised blending equipment, while Thompson installed the precast panels for the plant room; communication and clear lines of responsibility provided a shared understanding of project tasks, who was doing what and when.

Thompson feel privileged to be able to assist this client in the continued growth and development of their business, by providing ongoing advice and expertise where and when required.
